I’ve just returned from completing principal photography on the first event-based 3D special for National Geographic. The crew from Parallax Film Productions followed the preparation and explosive demolition of the 100,000+ capacity Fonte Nova Stadium in Salvador, Brazil for an episode of the series Blowdown. After 4-months of developing one-of-a-kind camera systems and training crews prior to the shoot, I directed the month-long shoot which culminated with the spectacular stadium implosion captured by 20 high definition cameras systems in 3D.
